Does your dog have arthritis?

Does your dog have arthritis?

4cyte arthritisJust like us, our pets can unfortunately develop arthritis. It’s a painful and often permanent joint disease that will get progressively worse over time. Although it is most commonly associated with older dogs, younger dogs can develop the disease also.

What to look for

Lameness and limping are the most obvious signs of arthritis but some dogs may only begin to show subtle changes that can often be mistaken for ‘normal’ signs of ageing. In severe cases, this condition can become debilitating and even crippling.

If you answer yes to 5 or more of the following then your dog may be suffering from arthritis:

  •  They seem particularly stiff on a morning or after a long period of inactivity
  •  They chew or lick particular joints
  • They’re more sensitive to touch and can growl when being approached
  •  They struggle going up or down stairs
  • Getting into the car or on the sofa isn’t as easy as it once seemed
  • They don’t rush to greet you when you get home as often anymore
  • Walks seem to be getting slower

Unfortunately with arthritis, as the disease progresses the more painful it is, so it’s advisable to begin treatment as soon as possible.

There are a number of treatment options available including a product named 4cyte.
