Travellers Requiring Medication

If you are travelling through Broome and require medication for your pet, please be aware that Veterinary Surgeons are not permitted to fill out a prescription written out by another Veterinary Surgeon or Medical Practitioner.

Dispensing of these prescriptions breaches the Poisons Act 1964.

Only a Registered Pharmacist may fill out a prescription on behalf of a Veterinary Surgeon or Medical Practitioner.

However, we would be more than happy to book you in for a consultation with one of Veterinarians and dispense any required medication. We may also request a history from your regular vet.
